New York City is a unique case in terms
of sustainable development. Its geographical location creates a high-density
living environment combined with an already extensive public transportation
system New York City is one of the most sustainable cities in the country.[ii]
With it’s iconic large Central Park, subways and taxis New York is at the
forefront of sustainability. However, New York City still has a large margin for
improvement, and they have devised a plan to get there.
